Welcome to the Second Edition of the Global Psoriasis Atlas

Our research indicates that there are more than 60 million people living with psoriasis globally.

Psoriasis is a systemic disease that affects people physically and psychologically and is associated with other important medical conditions.

One of the aims of the GPA is to understand the number of people around the world who have psoriasis and the care and treatment available to them.

Explore and share the Global Psoriasis Atlas and join us in our efforts to ensure that people are provided with the best available data on psoriasis globally.

Greenland

In May 2022, the GPA team conducted a pilot study in Tasiilaq on the East coast of Greenland with Professors Jacob P. Thyssen, Claus Zachariae and team from The University of Copenhagen. The group is working on the preparation of abstracts for the international dermatology meetings in 2023. Work also continues to understand how we can use our study insights to inform the 2023 National Census in Greenland.

Myanmar

The political situation in Myanmar has resulted in a delay to our plans for a pilot research study and workshops with local dermatologists. For now, we continue to work with Dr Su Lwin to provide educational support via webinar, in conjunction with the International Psoriasis Council, and to facilitate discussions on a future large-scale epidemiological skin disease survey.
